Bookings and clients
Booking multiple sessions at once
How clients book several sessions of one event in one checkout, what they pay and get by email, and how the sessions look in Bookings.
What clients can do
On an event's page, after picking a day, a client presses Book multiple sessions above the times. The times turn into tick boxes: they tick every time they want, on any days, and a bar at the bottom keeps the count and the total. Review opens the list of picked sessions. A client already booking one session can also press + Add another time on the details step.
Each session in the list keeps its own length, number of people, add-ons and, where the client picks the location, its own location choice. The client enters their name, email, contact, your questions and any waiver once for all of them, then presses Schedule N sessions.
Nothing is booked unless every session can be. If someone takes one of the times while the client is choosing, that time is marked so they can remove it or pick another, and nothing is booked until they do.
Paying
Clients paying online pay for every session in one Stripe checkout, with a line for each session. Each booking keeps its own share of the payment, so refunding one session refunds only its share (and its share of Stripe's fee). Where the event offers offline payment, a client can still choose it.
A session that needs your approval (an event set to need approval, or a time inside its by-request window) can be in the set: it waits for your answer like any request. When the set is paid online, the client's card is saved at checkout and charged for that session only if you approve it; if the charge fails, the client gets a pay link. One tip, when your event offers tips, goes on the first session that books at once.
On the Free plan each session counts as one of the 5 bookings a week.
What the client and you receive
The client gets one email listing every session, each with its own link to reschedule or cancel it, and Add all to calendar. Each session then gets its own reminder. The client cancels or moves one session at a time; a session's page lists the others booked with it.
You get one notice listing the set. In Bookings every session is an ordinary row, tagged Booked together · 1 of 3; the tag opens the set, and you can cancel several of its sessions at once from there. An intake form is sent once for the set, and every session shows its answers.
Turning it off, and the size of one checkout
Every event offers it to start. In the event editor, Limits & buffers has Clients can book multiple sessions at once and, under it, Most sessions in one checkout (2 to 20; 10 to start). That number is the size of one checkout, not a limit on bookings: a client who wants more books them in another checkout. Team members can change it only with the matching permission on the Team card.
On an event with several hosts, a client who leaves the host on Any available gets, for each session, whichever host is free at that time by the event's assignment. A client who picks one host from the Host menu gets that host for every session.
