Creating and managing events
How events work, the editor's sections, switching on and off, ordering, duplicating and deleting.
What an event is
An event is one thing clients can book on your page: it has its own durations, prices, hours, location, form, payment settings, cancellation policy and notifications. Two different services are two events. On a team, two people offering the same service can share one event with several hosts (see Running a team), or keep one each: Duplicate for {host} makes the copy.
Creating one
Open Scheduling and press + Create event. The editor opens immediately with the event Not live. Set at least a duration and hours, save, then switch it to Live. A new event starts with your business's waiver when you have exactly one. Every plan holds up to 50 events (one deleted but kept for its bookings does not count); at 50, + Create event and Duplicate answer "You've reached the limit of 50 events — delete one first."
The editor
Each section folds and shows a one-line summary of what is set:
- Duration, Pricing, Location, Availability, Hosts (on a team — a workspace with no one else to pick has no Hosts section) and Contact the host are always open. Hosts lists who hosts the event: Add a host… adds someone, the arrows set the order and ✕ takes a host off. Session lengths live on the event: with some prices set, only the priced lengths are offered; with none, every length is offered without a price (see Durations and pricing).
- More options holds Description, Limits & buffers, Event page options, Booking form, Payment, Cancellations & refunds and Notifications.
- Availability ends with two switches: Clients can request unlisted times and Waitlist (clients wait for one time that can't be booked now and get it when it opens; see The waitlist for a time).
- Notifications lists the emails the event sends, then Openings notifications (clients ask to be emailed when a time opens; see Openings notifications).
Save changes at the bottom saves everything in the editor, including the pricing grid; the one exception is the Booking form, whose questions are saved as you add or change them. Leaving with unsaved changes asks first. When a change takes people off the event's waitlist (a length, location, group size, agreement or price listing they joined with is no longer offered), the line above Save changes says how many before you save. Preview opens the public page as clients see it.
Each card's summary counts the people getting notifications for the event and the people on its waitlist.
Live, Not live and hidden
The Live switch at the top of the editor and in each card's menu makes the event bookable; the card's badge reads Live or Not live. Your email must be confirmed before an event goes live, and a team event waits until one of its hosts has accepted the invitation. Hide from page keeps an event bookable by direct link but off your landing page. Switching an event Not live while people are on its waitlist asks first and says how many; they are taken off it and emailed.
Order, sort and search
Cards follow the order on your landing page. Drag them, use Move up and Move down in the card's menu, or pick a Sort: A–Z, Z–A, By host (events with several hosts come last) or Newest first. The search box filters the list.
The card's menu
View event page, Copy link, Add to website, QR code, Duplicate, Duplicate for {host} on a team, Send new openings notification when people get notifications for it, Hide from page, and Delete. Duplicate copies the list of hosts and the Waitlist switch too (never the people on the waitlist), and the copy starts Not live. Deleting asks twice; bookings already taken keep their records, and a client still booking it is told the event is no longer offered. People on its waitlist are emailed that it ended, and the confirmation says how many first, for one event or for Delete selected.
