Where a session happens
In-person modes, video calls with Google Meet or your own link, phone calls, and sharing the exact place only after booking.
The Location section sets the kind of session and how the place is shared.
In person
Pick how the place is decided:
Every place is two boxes: Location (the name or address clients see) and Location notes (gate codes, parking, which door — shared only after booking, never on the public page).
- One location — a single place. Only share the location after booking keeps it off the public page too.
- Client picks from my list — several places, each with its own location notes; the client chooses on the booking form. The choice is saved with the booking and shown on every confirmation.
- One of my listed locations — I confirm after they book — the client sees your list under "One of the following locations" and agrees to any of them; you confirm one from the Bookings tab (or type any place) and the client is emailed.
- I decide after they book — no list — the page says the location is confirmed after booking; you type the place from the Bookings tab and the client is emailed.
- Client provides the location — the client types where to meet and any access details; you can add a note about what you need.
When your page shows no exact place — the location is shared after booking, or you confirm or decide it after they book — General area shown on your page can name a city, state or zip (such as Woodinville, WA), so clients know you work near them before they book. It shows once, with a pin, under the host's name and photo at the top of the page. Leave it blank to show no area.
Video call
Choose Create a Google Meet link for each booking or Use my own link. Meet links are made on the connected Google Calendar of the session's host, so each host who has joined needs their calendar connected first, and so does the host of a copy made with Duplicate for {host}. On an event several hosts share, a host whose calendar is disconnected later is left out of Any available until they connect it again. The link is shared in confirmations, reminders and calendar entries, never on the public page.
A client never sees an empty join link. When Google is still making the Meet link as the booking is confirmed, the confirmation says the link follows by email, and it is emailed to them as soon as Google has it, with an updated calendar invitation. When no link can be made (the host's Google Calendar is disconnected, Google refuses Meet on that calendar, or it never finishes making one), the host is emailed once, and the booking's row in Bookings reads No Meet link, with Try again and Add a link (a video link of your own, emailed to the client). The article Google Calendar and Google Meet has the details.
Phone call
The client's phone number is always collected for a phone-call event — it is their preferred event contact, and the form asks for nothing else there.
What clients see
The booking page shows the location kind and, for a single shared place, the address. After booking, the confirmation page and every email carry the exact place, the location notes and the video link. If you change a client's assigned location later, they get an email with the new place.
